Le 7 Octobre 2020 SAP a annoncé la disponibilité générale de SAP S/4HANA 2020 :  la sixième version de SAP S/4 HANA vient d’apparaitre avec toujours plus d’innovations à la clé.

Avec la version 2020 de SAP S/4HANA on poursuit la logique d’innovation continue avec des nouveautés fonctionnelles disponibles sur l’ensemble des processus finance.

Ces nouveautés sont immédiatement opérationnelles et disponibles lors de la sortie de la nouvelle version On Premise car elles ont été préalablement implémentées et testées depuis des mois dans la version Cloud de SAP S/4HANA.

Le document What’s new in SAP S/4HANA 2020 récapitule de façon exhaustive toutes les nouveautés apportées par cette version dans les différents domaines de la solution. Cette nouvelle version comporte des centaines d’innovations uniquement dans le domaine de la Finance et il est impossible de toutes les présenter ici. A titre d’illustration, nous vous proposons de passer en revue quelques-unes des nouveautés les plus remarquables :

Par exemple, dans le domaine de la comptabilité générale et bancaire, la nouvelle version réduit l’utilisation des comptes généraux, notamment des comptes bancaires, en simplifiant les processus de gestion des relations bancaires. L’utilisation des mêmes ensembles de comptes de rapprochement bancaire et de comptes d’attente pour la connectivité de la banque société réduit considérablement le nombre de comptes généraux requis pour les processus de paiement. Cette méthode offre également l’avantage de faciliter la gestion du plan comptable.

Dans le domaine de la clôture financière, avec SAP S/4HANA for Group Reporting, les équipes de consolidation peuvent générer simultanément des résultats dans plusieurs devises du groupe dans un seul processus de clôture. Ceci améliore l’efficacité et l’automatisation lorsque vous travaillez avec différentes devises dans le  groupe ou plusieurs taux de conversions de devise, par exemple pour une conversion à taux de change constants pour le reporting comparatif.

 

 

Dans la gestion des Clients et le contrôle de Crédit, un ensemble d’états de reporting avancés a été développé sur SAP Analytics Cloud avec pour objectif de donner les moyens au crédit manager d’améliorer le pilotage du contrôle crédit.  Ces états de reporting, nativement intégrés dans SAP S/4HANA, sont alimentés en temps réel par les flux des ventes et ouvrent la possibilité d’effectuer du drill-down vers les transactions opérationnelles.

 

 

Dans ce même domaine, une autre innovation réside dans la création d’une application Fiori qui donne accès à un cockpit de pilotage permettant une vue à 360° de toutes les informations nécessaires au contrôle crédit d’un partenaire donné. On peut ainsi accéder depuis un même endroit aux information générales sur le profil de crédit, des informations par segment et leurs limites et taux d’utilisation, une balance âgée synthétique, les commandes en attente d’approbation et même des informations sur des assurances ou garanties collatérales éventuelles. La navigation est ainsi grandement facilitée, les informations clés regroupées et disponibles de façon rapide, souvent dans un format graphique : voici un bel exemple d’innovation mise en œuvre pour faciliter l’adoption de la solution et assurer la meilleure expérience possible à l’utilisateur.

La plateforme SAP Central Finance a été optimisée dans la version SAP S/4HANA 2020 avec la mise à disposition de solutions d’intégration développées avec Magnitude dans le cadre du partenariat Solution Extension :

  • SAP Central Finance Data Harmonization by Magnitude
  • SAP Central Finance Transaction Replication by Magnitude

 

 

Central Finance permet la réplication des transactions des opérations issues de différentes sources dans une instance unique SAP S/4HANA, ce qui génère d’importants avantages liés à la centralisation, par exemple dans le cadre du reporting,  la comptabilisation des allocations, les opérations inter-sociétés ou la mise en place et opération de centres de services.

Ces nouvelles solutions d’intégration permettent de faciliter et d’accélérer l’intégration des données tout en fiabilisant le processus et en réduisant le TCO de Central Finance.

Deux autres innovations remarquables dans Central Finance :

  • La fonctionnalité de ventilation à la pièce est désormais disponible dans Central Finance et ceci même lorsque les systèmes SAP source n’en disposent pas.
  • Concernant le contrôle budgétaire, le budget des ordres internes peut être géré désormais de manière centrale dans SAP Central Finance grâce au suivi de la consommation de celui-ci dans les systèmes sources.

En conclusion, la version 2020 de SAP S/4HANA comporte une grande quantité de nouveautés qui méritent d’être découvertes lors d’une prochaine formation chez SAP France.

The end of the year tends to be busy for a variety of reasons and it can limit some of the freshness we see in designs during much of the year. Regardless, there are a few trending design elements.

What we are seeing right now is rooted in deep simplicity with a focus on the message.

Here’s what’s trending in design this month…

Activism and Engagement

Websites with a focus on societal issues have moved to the forefront. While the look and design techniques used for these websites can vary greatly, there’s a common theme of activism, community engagement, and support.

What’s great about this movement – and what it reflects – is that people can take to the digital space to help amplify their message or find support with people who are going through the same things they are.

While some of these efforts are backed by people and brands you may know, that’s not always the case.

The designs also work best when they reflect the personality of the spokesperson or mood of the issue at hand. Note the vast differences in the three examples.

The I Weigh Community uses bright color with a black and white image of promoter and celebrity Jameela Jamil to bring attention to mental health issues.

Wear the Waste by retailer H&M uses simple typography in a natural environment to set the stage for more eco-friendly clothing options.

Wavering Stripes uses an illustrative approach to bring attention to the stories of immigrants in detention.

Each design is vastly different but all are striking and draw attention to the causes therein. The common thread is that each design is simple enough to draw you in and help you better understand the message and not get lost in tricks or design effects.

 

 

 

In Your Face Products

’Tis the season for product promotion.

Designers are opting for larger-than-life product images that allow shoppers to see every detail before making a purchase. (Seems like a good plan in a socially-distanced pandemic world.)

It can work in a number of ways:

  • With an oversized image and ability to use on-screen controls to take a closer look;
  • With video and animation effects to see the product in action;
  • With super high-resolution and zoomed in photography.

Pair these visuals with strong descriptive language and you’ve got a winning combination.

The variance in the examples is a good showcase of how to do this well, while not over-doing effects.

The Fitbit Charge 4 website uses an opening image of the device that’s way larger in scale than reality (especially if you are on a large desktop screen). Users control using click and scroll to get more views and details of the device. Zoom and animation aren’t overwhelming, providing a solid look at the product.

The Nest Thermostat opens with a video animation of the device moving into the forefront of the screen. (It’s rather quick.) From there, if you want more detail, there’s a video to watch that provides deeper product information in a digestible manner.

The final example isn’t really a product at all, but rather an art installation. What’s interesting is that it uses these same oversized options to show the art in detail. This is a great way to handle seeing something that you may not be able to experience in person. What makes it work so well is that the angles of the photography mimic how you would view it, looking up toward the piece hanging from the ceiling.

 

 

Simple Motion for Impact

Carrying on the theme of big, bold, and oversized designs, this trend focuses on simple animation for maximum impact.

While all-out cinematic animation can be fun to watch, it can be a little overwhelming at times. This more subtle approach is easier to digest and helps put the focus on the content at hand rather than the effect on the display.

There are plenty of ways to use simple animated effects, including scrolling animations, hover actions, and constantly moving elements. (You can see each of these if you click through the examples.)

The Patrick Mahomes store, 2PM, uses a single line of moving text that tells you what the website is about. It differentiates the retail store website from information about the athlete or his other efforts. White text on a black background is classic and easy to read. The most important thing of note may be the speed of the animation; it’s timed in a way that’s scannable but not dizzying. Sometimes the hardest part of nailing an animation is getting the speed right.

The resume-style website for Naomi Niko is striking and simple, but neat hover effects and a simple scroll animation for her resume only – and not the photo or details on the left side of the screen – make the design intriguing. The almost awkward crop and directional pull of her image also creates interest and makes you want to get further into the design.

Guilbo uses layered hover animation to make it look like he’s blowing a glittery-dust off the screen and at the user. The rugged detail of his face with the sparkle of the animation is a fun contrast. The design uses layering with dots in the foreground and background for an additional depth effect. It’s also especially nice that the objects are made to stay off his face for a realistic effect.

 

 

Conclusion

While 2020 has been an interesting year, designers have continued to find new ways to evolve the craft and create visual experiences that are inspiring. These trends are no exception.

It shows that even in unusual circumstances or with odd constraints, that amazing work and creativity can thrive. Stay creative everyone, and keep those new designs – and potential trends – coming!

Simple Redirects

Simple Redirects is a WordPress plugin that helps you to automatically redirect requests to another page on your site or any other place on the web. Any incoming links to the old web page will be automatically passed along to the new page. The page rank on the old page is also transferred to the new page. Just Highlight

Static Optimizer

Static Optimizer is a static file optimization plugin that serves and optimizes static files on your website. The plugin will help you increase your website speed by automatically compressing your static files. It is easy to set up, you just need an API key to get started. Other useful features that the plugin offers include automatic JS and CSS minification, automatic image optimization, and processing of responsive images. You don’t have to worry about losing your files if their server is down. The plugin automatically backs up your files and will load your original files when their servers are down (either because of an upgrade, maintenance, or outage).  By default, only images are compressed when you activate the plugin; you can also choose to optimize fonts, CSS, and JS files. 

RankBear

RankBear is a keyword rank tracker plugin that helps you analyze your SEO efforts. With RankBear, you can track the keywords for each of the posts and pages on your site. While the plugin has a paid plan, you can track up to five keywords for free. On the free plan, you will receive weekly reports on each keyword you are tracking. You can search for the rank and volume of a keyword in every location supported by the Google search engine. RankBear is a lightweight software-as-a-service plugin hosted by Amazon Cloud Services. The plugin also offers the option to download the keyword reports to CSV. 

Table of Contents Block

Table of Contents Block is a plugin that allows you to easily create a Table of Contents for your WordPress posts. The plugin is lightweight and will automatically add a Table of Content in your website’s posts and pages. You can select the heading tags you want to add to the Table of Content. It also has a dedicated support team to assist you. The plugin works fine with all standard WordPress themes. 

Markease For WooCommerce

Markeaze is an all-in-one communication plugin that allows you to add live chat to your online stores. The plugin will help you improve your customer service by decreasing your response times. With the plugin, you can collect your visitor’s contact information via a widget. This feature is useful in building a subscriber database. You can also use the plugin to track customer behavior on your site, inform customers about new products, help customers with active orders, and collect customer feedback. You can also use the auto-reply function to answer commonly asked questions. 

Craft CMS

Image Toolbox

Image Toolbox is a Craft CMS plugin that offers image-related tools for your templates. The plugin will automatically create a WebP variant of the images you upload. It also has a fallback for browsers that do not support WebP images. Other useful features the plugin offers include automatic creation of placeholder images and generation of responsive images with multiple variants. The plugin also supports Imager-X (or old Imager). 

Element Panel

Element Panel plugin allows you to add elements and an eager-loading panel to the debug toolbar. This feature will help you benchmark your templates in Craft CMS. For elements, the panel has a dashboard that shows how many elements are populated. It also shows how many elements are duplicates. The plugin also shows you how many eager-loading elements are detected. Duplicate elements are grouped by field name. 

Shopify 

VStore Shoppable Videos

VStore Shoppable Videos is a Shopify plugin that allows your customers to shop directly from your videos. The plugin allows you to embed your products into any video. Since videos have a high engagement rate, this plugin will significantly improve your store’s conversion rates. 

ProofMotion Video Testimonials

ProofMotion Video Testimonials plugin helps you to easily collect video testimonials. The plugin sends an automated email or SMS requests to customers asking for their satisfaction feedback after making a purchase. The responses are analyzed to determine whether the customer had a negative or positive experience. Customers that offer negative feedback are sent to customer care to help them with the problem they encountered. Reading Time

Reading Time is a simple plugin that will help you easily show the reading time of your Joomla articles. The plugin is easy to set up and does not require any coding. You can customize every parameter, including the text, in minutes. You can also choose to exclude categories, articles, and menu items. Reading Time also allows you to easily add custom CSS code from the plugin parameters.

A hacked WordPress site is as damaging as having your home burgled. It can completely shatter your peace of mind and adversely impact your online business. 

Why do hackers target WordPress sites? The answer is relatively simple: WordPress is the single biggest platform for website creation these days, so there’s a larger base to attack; this attracts the attention of online criminals. 

So, how can a hack impact your website? 

Depending on the type of attack, your website could suffer any of the following:

  • It could be defaced completely;
  • It could load or operate very slowly on any device;
  • It could completely crash and malfunction;
  • It could display the dreadful “White Screen of Death”;
  • Its incoming visitors could be redirected to other suspicious websites;
  • It could lose all your valuable customer data.

This list is not exhaustive but you get the idea.

Now that we know how a successful hack can impact your website and online business, let us look at the top 10 reasons behind WP hacks and prevent them.

1. An Insecure Web Host 

Like any website, WordPress is hosted on a web host or server. Unfortunately, most site owners do not pay much attention to the web host they select and choose the cheapest they can find. For example, it is more affordable to host a website on a shared hosting plan — one that shares its server resources with many other websites like yours.

This can make your site vulnerable to hackers as a successful hack into any website on the shared server. A single hacked site can consume the overall server bandwidth and impact all the other sites’ performance.

The only way to fix this problem is to opt for a reliable host and a virtual or dedicated server.

Pro tip: If you’re already using a shared hosting plan, check with your hosts if they offer VPS hosting and make the switch.

2. Use of Weak Passwords

Weak passwords are the main reason behind successful brute force attacks that target your account. Even to this day, users continue to use weak and common passwords like “password” or “123456”; if you’re one of them, your website could land in trouble!

Guessing weak passwords allows hackers to enter the admin accounts where they can inflict the maximum damage.

How do you fix this problem? Simple, ensure all your account users (including admin users) configure strong passwords for their login credentials. With at least 8 characters, passwords must be a mix of upper- and lower-case alphabets, numbers, and symbols. 

For added safety, install a password management tool that can automatically generate and store strong passwords.

Pro tip: You can use a plugin to reset passwords for all your users.

3. An Outdated WP Version

Outdated software is among the most common reasons why websites get hacked. Despite being free to download, most site users defer updating their site to the latest version, for fears of updates causing their site to crash.

Hackers take advantage of any vulnerability or bug in an older version and cause issues like SQL Injections, WP-VCD Malware, SEO Spam & other major issues like website redirecting to another site.

How do you solve this problem? When you see a notification about an update on your dashboard, update your site as soon as possible.

Pro tip: If you are worried about updates crashing your live website, you can first test the updates on a staging site.

4. Outdated WP Plugins and Themes

Similar to the previous point, hackers also take advantage of outdated, unused, or abandoned plugins and themes installed on websites. With over 55,000 plugins and themes that are available, it is easy to install a plugin or theme, even from unsafe or untrusted websites. 

Plus, many users do not update their installed plugins/themes to the latest version or do not find the updated version. This makes it easier for hackers to do their job & infect sites.

How do you avoid this problem? As with the core WP version, update each of your installed plugins/themes on your site regularly. Take stock of all the unused ones and remove them or replace them with better alternatives.

You can update your plugins/themes from your hosting account.

Pro tip: We suggest setting aside time every week to run updates. Test them on a staging site and then update your site.

5. Common Admin Usernames 

In addition to weak passwords, users also create common usernames that are easy to guess. 

This includes common usernames for admin users like – “admin”, “admin1”, or “admin123”. Common admin usernames make it easier for hackers to get into admin accounts and control backend files in your WP installation.

How do you avoid this problem? If you are using any such usernames that are easy to guess, change them immediately to a unique username. The easiest way of doing it is through your hosting account’s user management tool, by deleting the previous admin user and creating a new admin user with a unique username.

As the first step, change the default username of your admin user and limit users who have administrator privileges.

Pro tip: WordPress has 6 different user roles with limited permissions. Only grant admin access to users who really need it.

6. Use of Nulled Plugins/Themes 

Coming back to the importance of plugins/themes, users have access to many websites that sell nulled or pirated copies of popular and paid plugins and themes. While these are free to use, they are often riddled with malware. They can compromise your website’s overall security and make it easier for hackers to exploit. 

Being a pirated copy, nulled plugins/themes do not have any available updates from its development team, hence will not have any security fixes.

How do you fix this problem? Simple, for a start, only download original plugins and themes from trusted websites and marketplaces.

Pro tip: If you don’t wish to pay for paid or premium plugins and themes, opt for a free version of the same tools that will have limited features but are still safer to use than the nulled version. 

7. Unprotected Access to wp-admin Folder

To take control of your site, hackers often try to break into and control your wp-admin folder in your installation. As the website owner, you must take measures to protect your wp-admin directory.

How can you protect your wp-admin folder? First, restrict the number of users having access to this critical folder. Additionally, apply for password protection as an added layer of security for access to the wp-admin folder. You can do this using the “Password Protection Directories” feature of the cPanel in your web host account.

Pro tip: Besides these fixes, you can also implement Two Factor Authentication (or 2FA) protection for all your admin accounts.

8. Non-SSL Website

You can easily migrate your HTTP website to HTTPS by installing an SSL certificate on your site. SSL (or Secure Socket Layer) is a secure mode of encrypting any data transmission between your web server and the client browser.

Without this encryption, hackers can intercept the data and steal it. Plus, a non-secure website can have many negative implications for your business – lower SEO ranking, loss of customer trust, or a drop in incoming traffic.

How do you fix this problem? You can quickly obtain an SSL certificate from your hosting company or SSL providers. It encrypts all data that is sent from and received by your website. 

Pro tip: You can get a free SSL certificate from places like Let’s Encrypt, but these provide limit protection that will only be sufficient for a starter site or small site.

9. No Firewall Protection

Lack of firewall protection is another common reason why hackers can bypass website security measures and infiltrate the backend resources. Firewalls are the last line of defence against hackers and work like the security alarm installed on your house. Firewalls monitor web requests coming from various IP addresses, including the suspicious (or bad) ones. 

They can identify and block requests that are known to be malicious in the past, thus preventing easy access for hackers to your website domain. Web application firewalls can thwart various attacks, including brute force attacks, XSS, and SQL injections.

Pro tip: A firewall provides much-needed security and is  your first line of defence. But it’s important to also have a malware scanner installed.

10. Lack of WordPress Hardening Measures

Typically, hackers target the most vulnerable areas or weaknesses within a WP installation, to illegally access or damage the website. The WordPress team has identified these vulnerable areas and has devised a list of 12 hardening measures recommended for every website.

A few of these include:

  • Disabling the File Editor;
  • Preventing PHP execution in untrusted folders;
  • Changing the security keys;
  • Disallowing plugin installations;
  • Automatic logout of inactive users;

How do you implement these hardening measures? While some steps are easy to understand, others require the technical expertise of how WordPress works. 

Pro tip: You can implement hardening measures on your own. However, some measures require technical expertise so in these cases, it’s much easier and safer to use a plugin.

Paris le 6 novembre 2020 SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) et Qualtrics ont annoncé le lancement de Qualtrics® XM for Suppliers, une nouvelle solution permettant aux organisations d’identifier les points d’amélioration des processus Achats, depuis le sourcing jusqu’au paiement (souce-to-pay) afin d’aider à sécuriser des ressources critiques, accroître les économies, atténuer les risques et améliorer l’agilité de l’entreprise.

Qualtrics XM for Suppliers combine les données issues des solutions SAP® Ariba®, SAP Fieldglass® et SAP S/4HANA® avec les informations collectées en temps réel auprès des fournisseurs et analysées par l’intelligence artificielle de Qualtrics, une entreprise du groupe SAP.

Une majorité (66%) des directeurs des achats et des directeurs supply chain déclarent que leur fonction joue un rôle dans la réduction des risques fournisseurs, selon une étude conduite par Oxford Economics et SAP. Toutefois, seuls 51% d’entre eux indiquent pouvoir trouver rapidement des solutions alternatives pour leur approvisionnement, et 46% ont des difficultés  à obtenir de la visibilité sur la performance d’un fournisseur. Qualtrics XM For Suppliers aide les organisations à améliorer leur processus source-to-pay en se basant sur l’écoute et l’analyse des feedbacks des fournisseurs puis la mise en place d’actions appropriées aux moments clés.

« Quand les organisations donnent la priorité à l’écoute, à la compréhension et à l’action sur la base des retours des parties prenantes, l’impact business et le ROI suivent naturellement », explique Brian Stucki, vice-président exécutif de Qualtrics et directeur général de Customer XM. « Qualtrics XM for Suppliers met les feedbacks des fournisseurs au cœur de l’interaction acheteur-fournisseur et devient une part intégrante de la prise de décision et de la construction de la relation. Les équipes achats obtiennent ainsi une vision holistique du processus global du point de vue des fournisseurs afin de régler les écueils, recommander des améliorations et trouver des solutions innovantes. »

En tant que leader en matière d’expérience client et créateur du concept d’Experience Management (XM), Qualtrics ajoute son expertise à cette nouvelle innovation au travers des fonctionnalités clés de la plateforme Qualtrics XM, comme le moteur Qualtrics iQ, pour offrir :

  • Des analyses prédictives et de l’intelligence. Accès instantané aux feedbacks des fournisseurs et aux indicateurs prédictifs pour favoriser la prise de décisions en matière de dépenses dans l’ensemble de l’entreprise.

As we turn the corner into the final part of the year, many of the new websites and redesigns that we see during much of the rest of the year tend to slow down. Many businesses are focusing on fourth quarter and holiday sales.

With that being said, there are plenty of holiday flourishes already showing up on many websites. But there are still a few trends that don’t have a holiday theme.

Here’s what’s trending in design this month.

1. Beautiful Connectivity

Web elements that merge and flow into one another can be difficult to design but the payoff is totally worthwhile. This website design trend exemplifies connected elements in a way that’s beautiful and mesmerizing.

You can accomplish it with static elements or interactivity; the common theme is that design parts enter the space of one another and merge in ways that are seamless and visually interesting.

The thing that makes it exceptionally tricky is responsiveness. To ensure that pieces work well at all sizes when they overlap or encroach on the space of one another takes a lot of planning and testing.

Here are a few examples of projects that do it well – and each one does it in a different way.

Kirk Whayman’s website uses a floating ice cube over simple lettering. The interactivity is spot on here with hover actions that allow you to move the block with the letters refracting in an expected manner. (It would be easy to play with it all day.) But the coolest interaction happens when you “break it” (click on the cube). The elements continue to merge and interact in a new and different way.

Kikk Festival uses animations and giant scrollable illustrations and plenty of elements that overlap within the space. What’s neat is that everything on this canvas seems to touch everything else. The staircase design encourages scrolling and lettering and smaller animated elements all connect to the steps in the sky motif.

Multi Options Nursing takes a totally different approach. It uses a static split screen with a photo on the right side that merges into a round graphic element. It takes two not-s-interesting images and makes something out of them. The design carries this theme below the scroll as well and this style of image presentation carries a nice visual weight without feeling heavy.

2. Almost Brutalism

Brutalism just seems to keep coming back around. For those that love this trend, it keeps evolving as well.

The latest styles of brutalism are a little less mono but still pretty sharp with harsh lines, questionable type readability, and a lot going on in a compressed space. These projects also seem to be embracing color and alternative font choices more readily.

Fledge uses a split screen – still a dominant trend two years running – with a blue that’s almost too bright with an almost white offset color. The text is big and smooshed into the space tightly. Depending on the breakpoint, you might not even get the whole phrase on the left side. The design challenge is what are you supposed to do here? There are some hover animation cues, but they aren’t very direct.

Loeven Morcel’s design has hints of brutalism and elements of elegance. What makes this design skew toward the brutal side is use of space and typography. Like the previous example, it falls into the territory of “what should I do here” with some concerns about readability. Most of these issues are resolved on the scroll if you move beyond the homepage.

Szymon Michalczyl’s site is another that is close to brutal in style but has an element of sleekness that doesn’t quite carry it over the edge. The simple framework has that brutalist feel but the use of simple, clean fonts with plenty of space pulls it back into a more mainstream design scheme.

3. Beige Everything

Is a shade of beige the color of the year for 2020? Or is it just how we all feel?

Beige backgrounds are everywhere, making this one of those design trends that you can’t miss. The good news is that designers are playing with different shades of beige as well as warm and cool variations. Beige on its own can take on some of the color from accent hues and imagery, so that’s important to keep in mind when using this in the background.

The other variable is how saturated to make beige coloring. Most designs are using some of the more muted options while mostly playing with the levels of green and red. But darker beiges are also an option.

Simon Daufresne uses a beige that is the color that comes to mind when you think beige. It’s simple, a hint reddish, and is used with black only to maintain true color.

Discovered Wildfoods uses a more neutral feeling beige with a more green undertone (or is that color feel coming from other design elements). The neutral and natural color fits the brand and association this website is trying to create.

Aebele Interiors also uses a more traditional beige but with a bold mustard accent that makes the color feel exceptionally warm. What’s nice about this color combination is that in small sizes the mustard colored-type almost falls into the beige background, but at larger sizes seems to almost jump off the screen. It’s an interesting color juxtaposition.

Conclusion

Personally, this month’s trends are a mixed bag. I love the lines and interactivity of the beautifully connected examples. It shows that elements can cross and work together well.

On the flip side, brutalism and beige just aren’t my style. But apparently, they appeal to a lot of people based on the number of projects using these styles. What do you think? I’d love to know how you feel about these trends. Let me know on Twitter.

Remontée des données en temps réel, connexion des partenaires, mise en place d’un jumeau numérique, industrialisation de la fabrication sont quelques-unes des pistes d’évolution possibles dans le monde de la construction.

« Le monde de la construction se trouve à un point d’inflexion : le numérique va fondamentalement changer les business models, les méthodes et l’économie du secteur » constate Johnny Clemmons, Global Vice President en charge de cette thématique chez SAP. La demande devrait rester soutenue dans les décennies à venir, avec des projets d’une complexité croissante et une pression toujours aussi forte sur les marges.

Les techniques déjà employées dans l’industrie manufacturière peuvent trouver des débouchés dans le secteur de la construction :

• automatisation des tâches répétitives amenant peu de valeur ajoutée ;
• analyses et rapports en temps réel, pour un véritable pilotage de la production ;
• exploitation des données issues des capteurs, afin d’améliorer la prise de décision ;
• introduction de technologies interactives et de robotique.

Des chantiers connectés

Le responsable d’un chantier centralise de nombreuses informations sur l’avancement des travaux, mais souvent au travers d’une saisie manuelle, qui ne sera remontée que plus tard chez le constructeur. Impossible dès lors de piloter les chantiers de façon centralisée, ces données ne pouvant – au mieux – avoir un intérêt que lors d’études à postériori. Autre problème, chaque corps de métier va se charger d’une tâche précise, qu’il gérera souvent en toute indépendance.

Le premier enjeu consiste à casser ces silos, via une remontée des informations en temps réel dans l’ERP, ce qui ouvrira la voie à un pilotage centralisé des chantiers. L’amélioration de la collaboration entre les différents intervenants permettra également de créer de nouvelles synergies. L’équipe en charge des approvisionnements, les architectes, les ingénieurs et le donneur d’ordres pourront ainsi trouver des voies d’optimisation. Par exemple en proposant des structures plus modulaires, adaptées à l’utilisation de blocs préfabriqués, qui permettront – au travers de l’automatisation – d’améliorer la productivité, les coûts et la qualité.

Des partenaires connectés

À moyen terme, la Modélisation des Informations du Bâtiment (BIM, pour Building Information Modeling) promet de mieux gérer la construction d’un ouvrage, au travers d’un modèle unique du bâtiment, d’un processus de gestion basé sur la donnée, mais aussi de logiciels dédiés. Une approche qui n’est pas sans rappeler les systèmes de pilotage de la production (MES, pour Manufacturing Execution System) qui se démocratisent dans l’industrie.

Les intervenants vont pouvoir s’appuyer sur ce modèle pour synchroniser leurs efforts avec le maximum d’efficacité. Des technologies comme le rendu 2D/3D ou les jumeaux numériques renforceront cette démarche en optimisant la construction et en améliorant la prise de décision.

Du fait d’une remontée des informations en temps réel, il sera également possible de suivre les progrès d’un chantier en direct et donc l’évolution des coûts et marges. Avec comme bénéfice pour les contractants d’être payés plus rapidement lorsque leurs missions sont achevées.

Le prédictif en ligne de mire

Remontée de données en temps réel et mise en place d’un jumeau numérique sont les deux éléments clés pour aller au-delà de l’analyse traditionnelle et aborder le sujet du prédictif.

L’Internet des Objets est également une voie pour le prédictif. Connectés, les équipements des chantiers de construction font remonter des informations aux constructeurs. Un moyen d’améliorer la maintenance de ces équipements, en assurant leur entretien avant que les pannes ne surviennent. Mais également un moyen d’optimiser leur exploitation. Certains équipements lourds sont d’ores et déjà connectés. Une opportunité pour les entreprises souhaitant démarrer leur digitalisation par un projet simple, au ROI immédiatement mesurable.
